Central Campus
The message for our program is simple and important – "FOCUS POCUS – Don’t Drive Distracted!" Teens today are accustomed to overstimulation but the message we will stress is that while operating a vehicle, they need to be in a distraction-free zone.
Students will design, create, and air 30–second video and audio PSAs through a six-week unit in the Central Campus Broadcasting and Film Program. The video segments will air on the school cable channel – Mediacom Channel 12, which reaches over 100,000 households in the Des Moines metro area. The audio PSAs will air on the district’s student-run, FCC–licensed radio station – KDPS 88.1 FM.
