Burlington Central Secondary School
The main event of our project is a reenactment of a car crash that resulted when the driver accepted a call on their cell phone while driving students home after school. The Grade 10 dramatic arts students will come up with a scene to accurately depict the event utilizing the police, fire, and ambulance as players in the reenactment. The class will receive training from the SMARTRISK No Regrets team on driver distractions and the intended message of the reenactment while the class will be responsible for creating group skits for the project. Other activities throughout the week include: guest speaker assembly, community–wide parent brochure campaign, police spot check, and parking lot chalk mural.
