Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School
GCMS Project Ignition "Drive to Survive" will strive to promote safety on the roadways by eliminating distractions, preventing vehicular crashes, and saving lives. We are focusing on personal stories and events that will emotionally draw students to our project. Through several media outlets and events, our team will present prevention safety messages by TV, PSAs, a mock crash, speakers, Homecoming Week activities, videos, artist t-shirt contests/embroidery projects, Safety Town for young children, our Web site, flash drives, and local events. The GCMS Project Ignition team wants to prevent any further tragedies from occurring in our schools, surrounding communities, rural roadways, and countrywide.
