Boise TRiO High School – Upward Bound
Project Ignition at Boise TRiO High School started when a small group of the TRiO Upward Bound students helped raise awareness about the consequences of reckless driving through the story of a college freshman who went to prison for causing an accident while driving drunk. We also had an open discussion about safe driving practices with a Boise Police Department representative. Our project – "Drop the keys OR pay the fees" will include a presentation and workshop for student leaders from the Treasure Valley area who can learn from our experiences and spread the word in their schools. Additionally, we will take advantage of parent-teacher conferences and host an information booth on staying safe on the road.
