Three Forks High School

Montana is a very rural state,  and driving on gravel roads is a daily activity for most teen drivers. Three Forks High School’s project addresses the issues of gravel road travel and distracted driving. Mile for mile, teenagers are involved in three times as many fatal crashes as all other drivers. This project comes three years after a tragic accident took the lives of three seniors at Three Forks High School. The accident report lists speed and driver inexperience as contributing factors to the accident.  The message of our project is FOCUS (Focus On Control Understanding Safety)--It is not all about YOU.  The project will target young drivers, ages 15 to 20, an age group with high vulnerability to motor vehicle collisions on rural roads.
