Polk County High School
Polk County High School’s project 'The In Thing' hopes to bring the epidemic of teen deaths from automobile wreck from a commonly ignored 'fact of life' to a preventable tragedy. We also want to initiate a grass roots campaign to change the state law. We will create a multimedia presentation showing the tragedy that drinking and driving has taken in our community and state, and offer solutions. We will present at school, at political and community organization meetings, and send mailings to Tennessee’s entire Legislature. It will be followed up with students emailing the legislators asking their thoughts about the presentation.
