"Drive Wise to Stay Alive!"
Philip High School
Philip, South Dakota
Our project is "Drive Wise to Stay Alive!" We will emphasize the use of seat belts, driving without distractions, and driving drug free. We will promote our message during the fall football season. We plan on a variety of projects including: giving "Smarties" and "Dum-Dum" candies to buckled and unbuckled drivers at home football games; checking students entering the school parking lots on three Mondays for seat belt use and entering belted drivers into drawings for free gas; having "pledges" for students to drive "distraction free"; conducting a "black out day" to represent teens killed in alcohol-related accidents; and other activities.
